GENEALOGY SOCIETY

The South Canterbury Genealogy Society brings together people interested in family history, whakapapa, local records, and the stories that connect past generations with the present. Whether you are just beginning your family tree or have been researching for years, our meetings are a friendly place to share ideas, ask questions, and learn from others.

We hold regular monthly meetings with discussion, research updates, guest topics, and support for members working on their family history. Visitors are very welcome.

Our volunteers are available to help with family history and local research queries. Whether you are starting your family tree, looking for a local record, or trying to solve a research puzzle, you are welcome to visit us during our Help Desk hours.
